Pipex has been awarded the prestigious contract for the supply and prefabrication of GRE pipes and fittings on the Queen Elizabeth Class aircraft carrier – the largest ever warships built in the UK and the most capable aircraft carriers in the world outside the U.S Navy.
The cost of designing and building the ships is approximately £3.9 billion and is expected to create some 10,000 jobs across the UK.
