Pipex Bondstrand 2400 and 3400 are glass reinforced epoxy (GRE) pipe systems which can be manufactured to meet specific internal operating pressures be it 10, 16, 20, 25, 32 or 50 bar. Utilising filament winding techniques the wall thickness of the pipe is increased inline with pressure rating (2410 denoting a 10 bar rated system). Utilising the IMO regulations Ameron have received 3rd party approval by Lloyds, Germanischer Lloyds, DNV, ABS, RINA, Bureau Veritas, Nippon Kaiji Kyokai and USCG.
Bondstrand 2410 and 3410 are filament wound GRE pipe systems from 2” – 40” (50 – 1000mm) with a taper/taper adhesive bonded joint designed for a maximum operating pressure of 10 bar (145 psi).

Feature and benefit
One of the main features of GRE is corrosion resistance. GRE is highly resistant to both internal and external corrosion without the need for any surface preparation or special coatings. This reduces maintenance costs and eliminates expensive replacements. As standard products Bondstrand 2000M and 7000M are designed with a 25 year design life and in most cases out last the life of the platform.
Bondstrand Glassfibre Reinforced Epoxy (GRE) pipe has been employed very successfully by many of the major oil producers on a number of their platforms, FPSO’s and onshore refineries. As a result, the advantages of GRE have become very apparent and have lead to GRE becoming more widely specified in offshore applications.
