Bondstrand 2000M and 7000M are glass reinforced epoxy (GRE) pipe systems that have been designed specifically for marine applications. In recent years Pipex have worked extensively with the MOD and have achieved 3rd party Lloyds approval for the use of Bondstrand GRE pipes on board British Royal Navy warships. Typical applications are deck drains, magazine drains and sanitary drains. Ameron have also received 3rd party marine approvals world wide from Germanischer Lloyds, DNV, ABS, RINA, Bureau Veritas, Nippon Kaiji Kyokai and USCG.
Bondstrand 2000M and 7000M are filament wound GRE pipe systems from 1” – 40” (25 - 1000mm) with quick lock and taper adhesive bonded joints with a maximum operating pressure of 16 bar (232psi).

Feature & Benefit
One of the main features of GRE is corrosion resistance. GRE is highly resistant to both internal and external corrosion without the need for any surface preparation or special coatings. This reduces maintenance costs and eliminates expensive replacements. As standard products Bondstrand 2000M and 7000M are designed with a 25 year design life and in most cases out last the life of the vessel.
Bondstrand is now a widely accepted in the marine market and is commonly specified on commercial and military vessels throughout the world.
